My Sister’s 17th Birthday Cake!

Published October 23, 2013 by Rubina

Considering that I was really busy, I decided that my sister’s birthday should be special even though it fell on Eidul Adha this year.

I made a lovely chocolate cake, with a fudge centre and red velvet bottom, all smothered in delectably creamy vanilla frosting.

Since she’s currently inlove with all things Parisian, I made an Eiffel Tower out of icing as a topper.

Glad to say, she loved her cake!

Lightening McQueen Buttercream Cake!

Newest cake challenge:

Lightening McQueen Chocolate Cake With Buttercream.

Every other cake I’d come across had fondant as a cover and my client had requested buttercream.

There is a little bit of fondant decor but not much.

This is my interpretation into buttercream 😊

Ferrari F1 Race Car Cake

Published May 9, 2013 by Rubina

This was another rushed order, and I did it as the mom is a repeat customer. I did the Lalaloopsy doll cake for her previously.

The Ferrari cake was vanilla cake, layered with vanilla buttercream and covered in fondant, which had a slight strawberry’ish taste as I had to ‘spray paint’ the cake for that glossy, gorgeous Ferrari red colour.

The checkered flag is made of fondant as is the birthday message.

It was quite a huge cake!

A Pretty Cake For A Pretty Girl

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

Hi everyone

This is a cake a made a few weeks ago for my little cousin who just turned 10 years.

The edible print isn’t one of mine. Unfortunately, due to being so busy, the ink got finished.

However, prints are up and running 😉 as always.

Emergency Birthday Cake!

Published April 17, 2013 by Rubina

Hi/ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

So a friend of mine asked for a favour, someone he knew needed a huge birthday cake for twin boys, turning 16 years old… The next day!!!

So apparently since I seem to have a knack for trying to pull off the impossible, of course I decided to help out!

In just about 6 – long- hours, I made those cakes.

One vanilla cake and one chocolate cake, iced in pure butter icing and bordered and decorated with fresh cream. The discs and letters are all made of fondant, and I used edible pearls for the 16 and the corner decorations. There’s also a liberal sprinkling of fairy dust, 😉 .
